These guidelines help ensure clarity, uniformity and research integrity while enabling a smooth review process. All manuscripts must be original, properly structured and submitted according to the specifications below.

ARTICLE TEMPLATE (JAIMS Official)

Reviewers are essential to maintaining JAIMS’ academic quality. JAIMS relies on reviewers to provide objective, constructive and ethical evaluations. The guidelines below define expectations and ensure fairness and professionalism in every review.

Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts thoroughly, objectively and respectfully. Their assessments help authors improve and ensure that only high-quality work is published.

  • Objective Evaluation: Assess content based on academic merit, not personal opinion or preference.
  • Constructive Feedback: Provide clear, actionable comments that help authors improve their work.
  • Professional Tone: Feedback must be respectful, unbiased and academically focused.
  • Assessment Criteria: Evaluate originality, methodology, clarity, relevance, and contribution to the field.

Reviewers must maintain complete confidentiality regarding all manuscripts they handle.

  • Confidential Documents: Manuscripts must not be shared, stored or discussed outside the review process.
  • No Personal Use: Reviewers must not use ideas or data from manuscripts for personal research.
  • Declare Conflicts: Any conflict of interest (professional, financial or personal) must be disclosed immediately.
  • Ethical Violations: Reviewers must report plagiarism, fabricated data or unethical research practices.

JAIMS expects high-quality evaluations that support editorial decisions.

  • Depth of Review: Reviews must evaluate all key sections: introduction, literature review, methods, results and conclusion.
  • Balanced Perspective: Highlight strengths as well as weaknesses of the manuscript.
  • Justified Recommendations: Decisions must be supported with clear reasoning and evidence.
  • Suggested Improvements: Offer constructive changes without editing the manuscript line-by-line.

Timely reviews help JAIMS run an efficient publication schedule.

  • Review Window: Reviews should be completed within 10–20 days.
  • Requests for Extension: Reviewers must inform the Managing Editor if extra time is needed.
  • Decline When Necessary: If unable to review, inform the editorial office promptly to avoid delays.

Reviewers will select one of the following outcomes:

  • Accept: Manuscript meets all academic standards and requires no further changes.
  • Minor Revisions: The work is strong but needs small corrections or clarifications.
  • Major Revisions: Substantial modifications are required before acceptance can be reconsidered.
  • Reject: The manuscript does not meet JAIMS’ academic or ethical standards.

JAIMS fosters a collaborative, ethical publishing environment where both authors and reviewers play a vital role in academic integrity.

  • Professional Conduct: Both parties must maintain respectful and scholarly communication.
  • Commitment to Quality: Authors submit strong research; reviewers ensure academic rigour through evaluation.
  • Confidentiality: The double-blind review process protects identities and must be respected by both sides.
  • Integrity First: Ethical behaviour is expected at every stage of submission, evaluation and publication.
